Petrified wood: a natural stone formed from the fossilization of wood

Petrified wood, also called fossilized wood, is a natural stone formed millions of years ago. An ancient tree transformed by a slow process of silica mineralization, it retains the details of its original structure while becoming a true mineral.

Each piece is unique, revealing natural variations ranging from brown to red, sometimes deep black.
